The Auditor of Public Accounts is committed to ensuring equitable access to information, services, and programs for all members of the public. In accordance with Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), we strive to provide digital content and technology that is accessible to individuals with disabilities, including those who use assistive technologies.
Standards and Technical Conformance
The Auditor of Public Accounts aims to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA for all websites. WCAG 2.1 Level AA is the technical standard adopted by the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) for Title II entities.

This commitment applies to:
- Public websites
- Online forms and interactive tools
- Digital documents (e.g., PDFs, notices, meeting agendas, reports)

Digital Documents and PDFs
Digital documents posted online on or after April 24, 2026, including PDFs and forms, are accessible and usable by screen reader and assistive technology users. Digital documents posted prior to April 24, 2026 will be labeled as archived. If you encounter a document that is not accessible, we will provide the information in an alternative format upon request.
Ongoing Monitoring and Maintenance
Accessibility is an ongoing effort. We conduct periodic assessments, audits, and testing of digital content and interfaces. Known accessibility issues are reviewed, prioritized, and addressed based on impact and feasibility.
We are continually working on improving accessibility on our website, with the aim of addressing issues by August 2026.

Third-Party Content

The Auditor of Public Accounts does not have control over content or documents housed on third party websites that we may link out to and cannot guarantee the accessibility of third party content and documents. While we strive to ensure all content is accessible, some forms on our website are powered by Google Maps, which is a third-party tool.
