Auditor

General Audit Duties

  1. Develops a risk-based integrated audit plan comprised of setting objectives; determining scopes and materiality levels; assessing all internal controls including electronic data processing controls; identifying significant compliance issues; and developing appropriate audit tests to accomplish stated objectives.

  2. Extracts and analyzes data from automated information systems.

  3. Completes all planned testing procedures including tests of general and application controls and proposes modified procedures where necessary.

  4. Draws appropriate conclusions and develops sound findings based on those conclusions.

  5. Participates in drafting the final audit report and discussing findings and recommendations with auditees.  

Specialized Audit Skills

In addition to the general duties described above, each auditor will develop skills in their assigned specialty area. The percentage of time spent utilizing specialized skills will vary among auditors.  For detailed information on each of our Specialty Teams - click here.
