PeopleSoft Administrator

 

Job Description

Seeking PeopleSoft System Administrator. Candidate will be primarily responsible for monitoring, support, and maintenance of Application Servers, Web Servers and Process Schedulers. Candidate will troubleshoot and resolve PeopleSoft application and PeopleTools issues by conducting research, performing root cause analysis, and maintaining solution documentation. Additional duties include performance tuning and applying appropriate patches. The candidate will also be responsible for upgrading existing PeopleSoft Application and PeopleTools to current versions. Key skills include ability to plan, schedule and monitor own work.

 

Responsibilities

  • Administration, maintenance, monitoring, and performance tuning of all PeopleSoft application components including Application Servers, Web Servers, and Process Schedulers

  • Application of patches and maintenance to multiple environments including test, development, and production

  • Build and maintain environments to support development and upgrade initiatives

  • Upgrading PeopleSoft environments to current release

  • Troubleshoot issues, perform root cause analysis,  and document solutions

  • Provide support and technical guidance to application and infrastructure teams

Preferred Requirements

  • B.S. in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field

  • Prior experience in PeopleSoft administration preferred

  • Prior experience in upgrading PeopleSoft Application and PeopleTools is an advantage

  • Adequate understanding of relational databases and concepts

  • Ability to solve problems in a creative, efficient, and effective manner

  • Strong organizational skills, proactive mindset, and willingness to learn

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with a diverse team
